PNOY visits NDCP booth during DND’s 75th ‘Diamond’ Anniversary

President Benigno S Aquino visited the College’s static display during the Department of National Defense’s 75^th Anniversary last November 17, 2014 in Camp Aguinaldo. The two-day event, in celebration of DND’s diamond anniversary, formally opened on November 16, 2014 which was attended by officials and personnel of the DND proper and its five bureaus, namely: the Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Arsenal, Office of Civil Defense, Philippine Veterans Affair Office, and the National Defense College of the Philippines.    

The booth displayed nine picture frames depicting the tradition of honor and excellence of the College as the premiere academic institution for defense and security. It has also highlighted various activities of the students, faculty, and administrators in the Mater in National Security Administration (MNSA) and Senior Executive Course on National Security (SECNS).

While President Aquino toured NDCP’s booth, he inquired about the MNSA and SECNS programs, in which Dr Fermin de Leon Jr personally explained to him about it.    SND Voltaire T Gamzin also told President Aquino that he required senior military officers to undergo the programs as part of his policy to professionalize the AFP for them to be promoted for one-star general.

Simple as it may, the booth was adorned with plants and flowers, photo exhibit, books and other publications of the College, complemented with a visual presentation about the fifty one milestones of NDCP.
